the r.a.a.m.s. FAMILY
Our mission is to serve children and their families in the City of Richmond by utilizing football and cheer as recreational engagement tools. We will provide onsite help to assist these children in educational success using a basis of a S.T.E.M. learning approach and curriculum. As an organization, we will participate in community service activities to promote sportsmanship while advocating for a positive environment for our participants to thrive.
WHAT WE OFFER
R.A.A.M.S. stands for Richmond Academic and Athletic Mentoring Standard. Within this acronym lies the foundation of our program and the building blocks of what we offer the children of Richmond City and surrounding counties. Football along with other sports is what brought us together but changing the lives of our youth is what sets us apart from the rest.

The Metro R.A.A.M.S. organization understands that academic preparation plays a crucial role in a child's future success inside and outside of the classroom. By doing so we will provide our young athletes with well-rounded educational support to complement their football training, which will in turn help to prepare them for college programs and beyond. Our foresight in integrating academic growth with football training can catapult your child's future success and enable them to reach their full potential in all vital aspects of life.

Leadership
Coaches are entrusted to encourage players to excel in the classroom and provide resources and support to enable them to do so. Additionally, they should emphasize the importance of good sportsmanship, both in victory and defeat, and teach their players to respect their opponents, officials, and/or teammates in all aspects of the game of life.
Great youth football coaching instruction must not only prioritize the development of the athletes skills, but also cultivates the athletes academic excellence, sportsmanship, and discipline characteristics both on and off the field. Anyone can coach but not everyone can guide and teach with a desire to implement intentional EXCELLENCE.
Coaches must instill discipline and accountability in each of their players, both on and off the field, to ensure that they are not only successful football players but also responsible and well-rounded individuals. By prioritizing these values and incorporating them into their coaching instruction, coaches can help their young players develop and be great.
